FAMILY SESSIONS
Relaxed, natural and full of connection, my family sessions are all about capturing your family just as you are - the laughter, cuddles, chaos and those beautiful moments in between. No stiff posing or pressure to smile for the camera, just a time to enjoy playing together whilst I capture memories you'll treasure for years to come.
FAQs

how long does the session last?

My family sessions last up to 90 minutes. I find this is the perfect amount of time to capture a good variety of photographs without the little ones becoming tired or loosing interest. There's no need to watch the clock though - I want the session to feel relaxed and enjoyable rather than rushed.

what happens during a family session?

There's no strict plan or list of poses to work through. Instead I'll give you some simple prompts and ideas to help you interact naturally as a family. We might explore, play games, have cuddles, tickle fights or simply sit together. The aim is to have fun and enjoy spending time together, while I capture what naturally happens.
what if my children won't sit still?
That's absolutely fine - I don't expect them to! In fact, I'd much rather they were themselves. Children running around, exploring and being silly often creates some of the best photographs. I'll work with their personalities rather than trying to make them behave like little models! If they need a break, we take a break, if they want to play we play games!
what should we wear and how do we prepare for the shoot?
Whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident in. I usually recommend wearing clothes that complement each other, without any bright colours or busy patterns - neutral and earthy tones tend to work best. However, I'll send you a client guide before your session with lots more advice and ideas on what to wear.

where and when do the sessions take place?

I love photographing families outdoors, whether that's at the beach, in the countryside, woodland or somewhere that has a special meaning to you.
If you don't have a particular location in mind, don't worry - I'm happy to suggest some beautiful locations that work well for family sessions.
I generally photographing my family sessions around sunrise or sunset when the light is soft and beautiful giving you that dreamy golden glow.

what happens if the weather is bad?

Don't worry - we'll keep an eye on the forecast together. As I only book one session per day, I have some flexibility when it comes to timing the shoot if the weather really isn't on our side.
A little cloud or wind can create beautiful photographs, so we won't automatically cancel because the forecast isn't perfect. However if the weather is really isn't suitable, we can look at rearranging your session to another available date.

how much is a FAMILY session?

My family sessions are £300, with a £60 booking deposit to secure your date. The remaining £240 is due one week before your session. I accept payment by bank transfer only.
